Sale into the EU or to a third country
The current process at our site in Zirndorf (as of 08 May 2026): documents, plates, customs and deposit — explained step by step.
Sale into the EU or to a third country – because the process and the paperwork required can differ significantly between countries and even cities, I would like to explain the current status (08 May 2026) here with us in Zirndorf / Bavaria / Germany:
Sale into an EU country
If you are interested, you receive our offer (proforma) as a customer. After payment is received, you automatically receive the invoice.
If you bring your own plates or the vehicle is loaded, you do not need any further service from us. If you need plates / registration and insurance for transfer, we can handle this process for you with a power of attorney from you. The fee of EUR 250 will be charged in addition to the purchase price.
In both cases we need the following documents in order to sell to you tax-free:
- Complete company address
- Tax ID
- Commercial register extract of the company (owner visible)
- ID of the owner
- The forms prepared by us returned with your signature and stamp (delivery note, 2× proof of removal, driver power of attorney, registration power of attorney, handover protocol)
Sale to a third country
The beginning is the same. If you are interested, you receive the offer – after payment, the invoice.
On our side, the export then has to be applied for with customs. Customs needs 24 hours for this.
If you have your own plates or the vehicle is loaded, you can then collect the vehicle.
If you need plates, registration and insurance for transfer from us, we can also handle the process for you here. Again, EUR 250 will be charged in addition to the purchase price. To register, we need a registration power of attorney from you with a copy of your ID.
Before departure you leave a deposit with us, agreed with you in advance, as security that the vehicle leaves the EU. You will receive this back from us in full immediately after proof of export.
